RAFA RECAP: Rafael Nadal made light work of Juan Martin del Potro to reach the French Open final.
Nadal: "Thiem is an amazing player. He beat me in Madrid and he has incredible power."
Thiem, who is appearing in his first Grand Slam final, said: "If I want to beat him, I have to play that way like I did in Rome and in Madrid. I know how to play against him. I have a plan. But I'm also aware that here it's tougher. He likes the conditions more here than in Madrid, for sure. Best of five is also different story."
THIRD TIME LUCKY FOR THIEM? The players met at Roland Garros last year when Nadal triumphed 6-3 6-4 6-0 in the semi final. Rafa also beat Thiem in straight sets at the tournament in 2014.
