Alex De Minaur through to last four in Sydney
Teenager Alex De Minaur continued his sensational start to the season by reaching his second consecutive ATP Tour semi-final at the Sydney International.
Little known prior to his great run in Brisbane last week, the 18-year-old is fast pushing himself forward as Australia's hottest teenage talent.
His latest victory came against Feliciano Lopez, a player twice De Minaur's age who made his ATP Tour debut before the Sydney youngster was even born.
But De Minaur proved too steady, winning 6-4 6-4 to become the youngest male semi-finalist at the event in nearly 30 years.
Juan Martin del Potro was already guaranteed to return to the top 10 for the first time since 2014 and he kept his run going at the ASB Classic in Auckland.
The popular Argentinian did not face a break point in a 7-6 (7/4) 6-3 victory over Russian Karen Khachanov to reach the semi-finals.
