And he's done it! Tremendous nerve from Hawkins to clinch it.
This final frame has been a real battle of wits, but it looks like Hawkins might sneak it after a fabulous pot on the green. The brown goes in and there's just three balls left.
Big chance for Selby. Hawkins has fouled and left the white on for a red to the bottom-left pocket. But he's missed it! Can Hawkins capitalise?
Selby's in the driving seat in the decider, at the table with a 32-point lead. Eight reds left, all bunched in the centre of the bottom pocket.
Stil neither player has made an impression on the scoreline, as both take their time over each move. A bad decision could be very costly.
Anything you can do, I can do... not quite as well, but still very impressively. Selby makes a century break and we're down to an exciting decider.
Saving the best til last here. Cracking stuff from both players as Selby constructs a mammoth break to level proceedings.
Poor miss from Hawkins, uncharacteristic for him from his performance so far. Selby has a chance here, with all reds on offer. He leads 23-7.
Oooh. He's unlucky there to not get consecutive centuries as he jaws a red to end a break of 92. Still, what matters is that he's now 2-1 up.
And it just keeps on coming from Hawkins. It's almost a carbon copy of the last frame - Selby goes for a tricky red and misses, before his opponent steps up and lays down a match-winning break. 85 and counting right now.
Fantastic from Hawkins as he puts away a century clearance of 127. All square.
It's no longer a question of if Hawkins will take this frame, it's how big his break will be.
Impressive response from Hawkins to the disappointment of the last frame. Selby jaws a routine red to the bottom-left pocket and the former office clerk is still at the table capitalising on the Leicester man's mistake.
Selby eventually knocks in the black to claim a topsy-turvy first frame. You have to feel for Hawkins, he worked really hard to get back into it, but perhaps he should have taken the snooker option.
Hawkins ties the scores 54-54 by clearing the table. The black is being relaid and Selby wins the coin toss to go first.
Nice long red from Hawkins but because he took on the brown, he now requires a snooker.
Hawkins at the table, 39 behind with 42 remaining.
That's a nice shot from Hawkins, opening up the pack. He then cuts in a red well, but is tight on the cushion for the follow-up blue and misses. He trails 28-8 in a cagey opener.
Right, onto the last match of the day where Mark Selby takes on Barry Hawkins.
