He does well to see away the red on the bottom cushion but he just overcooks the position for the red on the left cushion and is forced to play a safety.
But an unlucky miss has put his chances in jeopardy here. Robertson's at the table, 38-35 up now, but the final two reds are tight on the bottom and left cushion respectively.
Great long pot from Morris to the bottom-right pocket and now he has a fantastic chance to make this match go the distance as a number of reds are on for simple shots.
Well there's nothing Morris could have done there. Brilliant display there from the world champion as he makes a cracking half-century break to take the frame.
Robertson could be edging ahead here but there's a lot of work to do, with one red tight on the right cushion and three more down near the bottom cushion. Still, he is the world champion so it could be no trouble at all...
This is turning out to be a much less one-sided affair than many may have thought after the first frame. Morris has a slender lead at 13-5, with Robertson at the table, laying a safety. With the reds spread like they are, one mistake could lose the frame.
Cracking response from Morris. He lays a devlishly good snooker on the final red which is too good for Robertson. The Australian fouls on the pink to which Morris fires in a free ball. Before long it's one frame apiece.
Good reaction here from Morris. There was a chance the world champion would blow him away after taking the first frame but he's holding his own in the second, leading 44-34 and just laying a safety.
Wow. Suddenly the quality from both players has gone right down as Morris and particularly Robertson miss some of the simplest shots a professional could hope to make.
Morris clearly has a lot of promise but he needs to step it up a gear here if he's to have any chance of causing an upset. Poor miss on an easy red to the left-centre from the 22-year-old.
Robertson is showing why he's the world champion here. Using all the experience he's gained from his success in the last few years, he makes the most of Morris' error by clearing everything but the black to take the frame.
But perhaps the pressure did get to him there, although that was by no means a gimmie. Morris misses a relatively tough blue to the bottom-left pocket and now Robertson has a good chance of taking the frame with the reds available.
And we're underway with world champion Neil Robertson taking on David Morris. The Irishman has looked decent so far - doing well to deal with the nerves that must be on the young man's mind.
