Cope needs to make a good break here to stay in this match. He leads 40-13, and is currently on 14, but oh! That's a bad miss on a red to the top-left pocket. Walden to finish it here?
It's another intriguing start to a frame, with Walden trailing by 15 points to one in the fourth and a safety exchange now in session.
Oooh, so unlucky. A miss on the green sees Walden fall two points short of a century. Nonetheless, the important thing is that the frame is his and he leads 2-1.
Walden is all set to take the third frame. His break stands at 44 and now the pink and black are both very much in play. Six reds left, he just needs to keep his concentration.
Walden notches his first pot in 29 minutes with a neat red to the bottom-left pocket. Big break could be difficult though with the black stuck between a bunch of reds.
This is a tight third frame with neither player giving much away. No reds have been potted yet and the frame's been going near to 15 minutes.
That was a bit more tense than Cope would have liked. he miscues to give Walden one of his required snookers, but eventually Walden pots the cue ball by mistake to end the frame.
He just needs the brown now to take this frame... and in it goes, cool as you like. And just for good measure, he rolls in the blue as well. Walden surprisingly comes back to the table, as two snookers are needed.
Right, massive chance here for Cope. He simply has to make this break work.
Cracking pot there from Walden. Cope plays a decent safety but when Ricky's knocking in long reds like that, there isn't much you can do. But what's this? He 's missed the blue!
That's a little careless from Walden. He overcooks his position on a red after putting the black in to end his break at 46. Luckily for him, nothing seems on for Cope.
Excellent start to this match from Walden as he manages to open up a few more reds off the pack with an expert bit of screw. His break stands at 22.
That's classy from Walden though. He erases the disappointment of the foul from his mind and knocks in a difficult red to take the frame.
But there's a silly mistake from the big man - he knocks a loose red with the rest to foul and give Cope a chance. 57 behind, 51 left on the table.
These two are a pair of the most exciting talents in snooker and Walden is showing it. The 6'4" Englishman is on a break of 51 and looking likely to take the opener.
Cope gets us underway with a nervy in-off. Four points to Walden.
