Conor Washington replaces Kyle Lafferty up front for Northern Ireland as they chase a place at the World Cup finals against Switzerland in their play-off.

Michael O'Neill's team lost at Windsor Park after a controversial penalty, when Corry Evans handballed a Xherdan Shaqiri volley, led to the only goal of the game as Ricardo Rodriguez slotted home the spot kick.

It also means Evans is suspended and he is one of three other changes, with George Saville replacing him and Aaron Hughes and Jamie Ward coming in for Conor McLaughlin and Josh Magennis in Basel.

Arsenal’s Granit Xhaka keeps his place in the Switzerland team, which is unchanged.

Northern Ireland XI: McGovern, Hughes, Evans, McAuley, Brunt, Davis, Saville, Norwood, Dallas, Ward, Washington.

Switzerland XI: Sommer, Lichtsteiner, Schar, Akanji, Rodriguez, Xhaka, Zakaria, Dzemaili, Shaqiri, Zuber, Seferovic.
