It's all over and it has ended Inter 1-1 Roma. A point apiece, both clubs remain firmly in the hunt for a top-four spot.
FINE SAVE! Handanovic to Inter's rescue! Roma launch a lightening counter-attack, Dzeko releases Kolarov who has made a lung-busting run down the flank. He flashes a shot across the face of goal and the Inter goalkeeper is on hand to push it away!
Three minutes to be added on!
No, because Dzeko can only head over the bar.
Kluivert gets to the byline and wins Roma a corner... is this the moment?
- OffMatteo PolitanoInternazionale
- OnKeita BaldéInternazionale
Keita Balde has replaced Politano for Inter. Time is running out for the hosts, who would all but secure their top-four spot with victory tonight.
Perisic bends one towards the near post but Mirante is off his line quickly to smother the ball, under pressure from Icardi who was posed to score the match-winner.
- Yellow cardNicolò ZanioloAS Roma
Zaniolo will also miss Cagliari next week as he goes into the book for a foul on Joao Mario.
WIDE! A rare opportunity for Roma in the second half. Fazio rises highest to meet Florenzi's corner delivery but heads wide.
- OffLorenzo PellegriniAS Roma
- OnJustin KluivertAS Roma
Justin Kluivert, who must wish he had stayed at Ajax, replaces the disappointing Pellegrini.
- OffLautaro MartínezInternazionale
- OnJoão MárioInternazionale
Joao Mario takes the place of Martinez for Inter.
- Yellow cardBryan CristanteAS Roma
Cristante goes into the book for a cynical foul and will now miss Roma's next game against Cagliari.
Into the last 15 minutes, can either side take the initiative and land what would be a crucial winner?
SHOT! Politano has been dangerous with that left foot of his, but not on this occasion. He tries the spectacular from 25 yards but he fails to get his foot wrapped around the ball and his shot drifts harmlessly into the stands.
Roma clear from the resulting set-piece but Inter are straight back on the attack.
Perisic's cross is deflected and Mirante is forced to tip it over the bar, conceding a corner to Inter.
CHANCE! A wonderful opportunity for Inter to take the lead for the first time in the game goes begging! Vecino's volleyed cross picks out Martinez inside the box. He ought to head it but instead tries an ambitious volley and he can't keep it down.
SAVE! Inter clear to the edge of the penalty area, where Pellegrini is waiting. He catches his shot really sweetly, forcing Handanovic into a decent stop.
Pellegrini stands up a cross to the far post, forcing a corner. Roma haven't been good enough since the restart but they have a chance now to restore their lead...
Cristante concedes a foul in midfield, giving Inter another free-kick. The pressure from the hosts is relentless at the moment.
OVER! Disappointing by Perisic's high standards. He curls his free-kick up and over the wall but he can't get it down in time to trouble the goalkeeper.
FREE-KICK! Inter have the momentum now and look good value to take the lead. Martinez is fouled by Juan Jesus and Inter have a free-kick 25 yards out. This is dangerous...
Perisic has now scored three goals in his last four games, bringing his total to the season to seven.
Full of confidence now, Persic drives down the flank and picks out Icardi with a low cross. The angle is against him, though, and he's unable to get a connection on the shot. Mirante gathers.

GOAL! Inter 1-1 Roma: The home side's pressure finally pays dividends! D'Ambrosio floats a lovely cross to the far post where Perisic has sneaked in unmarked and his stooping header nestles into the corner of the net. Inter are level.
Icardi goes down too easily and the referee Marco Guida kindly tells him to get to his feet. No free-kick.
The way the game is set up now, Roma are content to sit deep and try to hit their opponents on the break. Inter are dominating possession but have yet to create a clear-cut opportunity in some time.
Not since 1992 have Inter failed to score in three consecutive home games...
NO PENALTY! Martinez is running at full speed before he goes down inside the box. He feels he was pushed to the ground but the referee believes he lost his balance. Play on.
- OffRadja NainggolanInternazionale
- OnMauro IcardiInternazionale
There is a mixed reception for Icardi who replaces Nainggolan. Can he change Inter's fortunes and get the fans back onside?
But the visitors are determined to put that right tonight. A cross is played to the back post and Florenzi climbs highest to make a crucial defensive header to concede a corner.
Roma haven't kept a clean sheet against Inter since March 2014.
WIDE! The ball is released into the path of Pellegrini on the left side of the penalty area. He tries to beat Handanovic at his near post but slices his shot wide. Should be doing better.
One or two warning signs from Inter at the start of the second half.
CHANCE! Politano, who has been a threat from the wide areas all evening, bends a left-footed cross into the box. Martinez peels away from his marker to meet it but heads straight into the arms of Mirante.
Asamoah skips past a couple of challenges at the byline, he could go to ground and win a penalty but admirably stays on his feet and feeds it back to Nainggolan who sees his shot blocked.
- 2nd Half
It's Inter 0-1 Roma - can the second half match that intriguing opening period?
- OffCengiz ÜnderAS Roma
- OnNicolò ZanioloAS Roma
The second half is underway. Roma made a change at the break, with Nicolo Zaniolo replacing Under.
- End of 1st Half
HALF TIME: Stephan El Shaarawy's goal is the difference between the sides at the break. The hosts have had their chances, particularly in the dying stages of the half, but it's Inter 0-1 Roma at the halfway stage.
There will be one minute added on at the end of an absorbing first half contest.
JUST WIDE! How have Inter not equalised? This is another glorious opportunity. Perisic floats a cross to the far post, D'Ambrosio attacks the ball but from just a matter of yards he somehow heads wide!
GREAT CHANCE! Mirante spills Politano's shot at his near post, it comes out to Vecino but Fazio gets across to make a crucial intervention!
SO CLOSE! Asamoah goes past a couple of poor challenges to create room for a shot. It's deflected behind by Fazio which takes it a couple of inches past Mirante's post. Some fans at the opposite end of the stadium thought it was in! Asamoah's five-year search for a goal continues.
FLASHPOINT! The referee points to the spot and awards Inter a penalty after D'Ambrosio goes down inside the box, but then immediately changes his mind! Valero had fouled Shaarawy a moment before and the free-kick is awarded Roma's way.
D'Ambrosio makes an important challenge on Pellegrini, who had found himself in a three-vs-three situation.
WIDE! Better from Inter. Perisic's dangerous cross picks out Vecino, who has made a late run into the box, but it's a difficult chance and he can't guide his header on target.
Perisic tries to switch the play but overcooks his pass and it goes out for a throw-in at the opposite flank, drawing yet more jeers from the frustrated home supporters.
Spalletti is hugely animated on the touchline. Roma are on top right now and good value for their lead.
SAVE! El Shaarawy gets a left-footed shot away from a tight angle, forcing Handanovic into a smart save.
Inter concede possession in midfield, drawing groans from the home supporters who can't be pleased with what they have witnessed in this opening half hour.
NO PENALTY! Florenzi is on the receiving end of a crunching Asamoah challenge, but the full-back jumps back to his feet and finds himself in a great position on the flank. His cross is blocked by Valero, prompting appeals for a Roma penalty. Replays show that Valero headed the ball onto his hand and it was completely accidental.
Inter continue to bombard the Roma penalty area with crosses aplenty, but Florenzi and Co are proving difficult to breach.
Skriniar plays a poor ball out of defence, straight into the path of an away player. The pass is played into the feet of Dzeko, but the Roma forward is an offside position.
Inter win a dubious free-kick on the left. Perisic whips one to the far post and it's Florenzi who clears with some difficulty. The home supporters are beginning to grow a little frustrated now.
Roma living dangerously at the moment, as Politano simply isn't being tracked. He swings in yet another delivery and Florenzi is on hand this time to intervene.
Politano is being afforded a lot of space on the flank, and he delivers another teasing cross to the near post. This time Fazio is well positioned to head clear.
It's only the EIGHTH home goal that Inter have conceded this season.
This has all the makings of a Serie A classic. Inter cannot afford to lose this game but this is the worst possible start for Spalletti's side.
- GoalStephan El ShaarawyAS Roma
GOAAAALLLLL! Inter 0-1 Roma
It's a glorious opener by El Shaarawy! He picks the ball up on the left, gives Vecino the slip to create an angle for the shot and curls a sumptuous effort past Handanovic from the edge of the penalty area. Fantastic goal.
In fact, it was a wonderful challenge from Kolarov and it was actually outside the penalty area.
Politano goes down dramatically - too dramatically - inside the box and there's nothing doing from the referee.
Inter have recovered from a slow start and are actually in the ascendancy right now.
That was one of the finest saves you will see this season, congratulations Mirante.
TERRIFIC SAVE! Martinez almost heads Inter into the lead! He pulls away from his marker to meet Politano's lovely floated cross and his bullet header is somehow pushed onto the post by Mirante!
Roma are going for it this evening. They have started with a lovely tempo.
JUST WIDE! Roma looking dangerous here. Kolarov lets fly with a venomous shot from 25 yards, Handanovic is rooted to the spot but the ball drifts agonisingly wide of the Inter goalkeeper's net. What a goal that would have been.
It has been underwhelming season for Dzeko, who has netted just eight times in Serie A this season. He is out of contract next season and probably playing one of his last games in Roma colours.
Inter have the best home defence in Serie A but they were caught napping and flat footed there. It was a let off for the hosts.
DZEKO SHOULD SCORE! The big Roma forward picks the ball up in a central position. He spreads the play wide to Shaarawy and continues his run into the box. The midfielder finds Dzeko with a lovely pass, but having taken a great first touch he's unable to generate any power in his shot from point-blank range and Handanovic makes a comfortable save.
Interesting to note that Luciano Spalletti has NEVER beaten Ranieri in a competitive match as manager.

KICK-OFF! Inter get us underway on a huge night at the San Siro!
Actually, Manolas has picked up an injury in the warm-up and Juan Jesus has been called into the starting XI. That's a blow for Roma.
FIVE MINUTE WARNING
A reminder of the starting line-ups as we approach kick-off...
Inter XI: Handanovic, D'Ambrosio, De Vrij, Skriniar, Asamoah, Vecino, Valero, Politano, Nainggolan, Perisic, Martinez. .
Roma XI: Mirante, Florenzi, Manolas, Fazio, Kolarov, Cristante, Nzonzi, Under, Pellegrini, El Shaarawy, Dzeko.
Both sides come into this game in reasonably good form: Inter have lost just one of their last six games and beat Fiorentina 3-1 last time out. Meanwhile, after a run of six games without a win, Claudio Ranieri's side have won their last two, recording 1-0 victories over Sampdoria and Udinese.
What can we expect from tonight's game? Well, the sides played out an entertaining 2-2 draw back in December. Under cancelled out Keita Balde's opener, before Icardi restored Inter's lead. Roma fought back, however, with Kolarov's penalty earning Giallorossi a point.
It's a big night for Roma, who will leapfrog AC Milan in fourth with a victory. It would also heap pressure on Inter, who would have their six-point advantage over fifth-placed Roma closed to just three.
It is very interesting that Icardi has been left on the bench this evening. Nerazzurri have not lost since he was brought in from the cold, picking up seven points in their last three games to put them in the driving seat in the race for the Champions League. Despite missing 10 games this season, Icardi is still the club's top goalscorer with 10. There is a lot of pressure on the shoulders of Martinez tonight.
BREAKING NEWS: Juventus have just beaten Fiorentina 2-1 to claim their EIGHTH successive Serie A title.
Roma are boosted by the return of Cengiz Under and Alessandro Florenzi, but Daniele De Rossi, Davide Santn and Rick Karsdorp are out injured. Aleksandar Kolarov is back from suspension, while Lorenzo Pellegrini is chosen ahead of Nicolo Zaniolo.
The biggest talking point in Inter's XI is the inclusion of Lautaro Martinez, who has been given the nod ahead of Mauro Icardi in attack. Meanwhile, Borja Valero has passed a late fitness test and starts in midfield, while former Roma star Radja Nainggolan is given an attacking role.
Inter XI: Handanovic, D'Ambrosio, De Vrij, Skriniar, Asamoah, Vecino, Valero, Politano, Nainggolan, Perisic, Martinez. Subs: Padelli, Gagliardini, Icardi, Keita, Ranocchia, Joao Mario, Cedric Soares, Miranda, Dalbert, Candreva.
Roma XI: Mirante, Florenzi, Manolas, Fazio, Kolarov, Cristante, Nzonzi, Under, Pellegrini, El Shaarawy, Dzeko. Subs: Olsen, Fuzato, Juan Jesus, Perotti, Schick, Marcano, Coric, Zaniolo, Pastore, Kluivert, Riccardi.
Hello and welcome to Eurosport's LIVE text commentary of the Serie A blockbuster between Inter and Roma at the San Siro.
With just six games remaining for most sides in Italy's top-flight, the battle for the Champions League spots is really beginning to heat up.
Tonight's hosts come into this game in third, six points ahead of fifth-placed Roma, who are two points adrift of fourth-placed AC Milan, though they have played a game less.
Plenty on the line then and we'll have all the drama tonight as it unfolds between two of Italy's biggest clubs.
