90'+4

Tavernier pulls a dangerous ball across the face of goal and Ajer hacks it clear for a corner. Can Gerrard's men make the most of the set-piece?

GREAT CHANCE! Brilliant from Kent, he drives forward on the left and creates the angle for a shot. Bain can only push it into the path of Worrall but Ajer makes an incredible challenge on the Rangers player to deny the visitors another equaliser.

87'

FLASHPOINT! Kent appears to connect with Brown's face with his hand, but it goes unnoticed by the referee and the Rangers forward somehow stays on the pitch.

  • James Forrest

Celtic win a free-kick on the right. McGregor takes and Rangers goalkeeper McGregor punches it clear, catching his own defender Goldson in the process.

74'

WHAT A MISS! Rangers squander a huge chance to go in front. A cross comes all the way through to Kent at the far post, unselfishly he squares it to Jack who leans back and blazes the ball over the bar from point-blank range.

70'

Into the last 20 minutes at Celtic Park here, can either side find a winner? Kent's equaliser has set up a fascinating conclusion.

68'

Gerrard has called on the Rangers board to back him financially in the summer and surely the on-loan Liverpool forward is top of his to-buy list.

62'

It would be a real smash-and-grab if Rangers were to somehow get something out of this contest. But with the scoreline still reading 1-0, they will still fancy their chances.

61'

And Boyata heads over from the resulting corner. It's still Celtic 1-0 Rangers, but the hosts are utterly dominant. In fact, Rangers haven't even registered a shot on target this afternoon.

60'

Forrest takes one touch to control Lustig's cross from the right and shoots with his second. It takes a deflection and Celtic have another corner.

58'

Tavenier drives forward from the left flank, he centres it for Jack but he takes a heavy touch and Ajer makes an important tackle.

56'

Remarkable.

55'

CLOSE! Lustig catches a shot from 25 yards and it's bending and curling.... just wide of McGregor's far post!

53'

MCGREGOR MAKES ANOTHER HUGE SAVE! Rangers fall asleep as Sinclair is released by Celtic midfielder McGregor, but his namesake in the Rangers goal is off his line quickly to block the shot.

52'

Almost everyone is drawn to the near post and McGregor delivers his corner to the far post. Rangers clear.

51'

Tierney cuts inside from the left but takes a heavy touch and Arfield boots it out for another Celtic corner. McGregor to take...

49'

NO PENALTY! Bobby Madden waves away strong Rangers protests after Tavenier went down in the box under the challenge of Sinclair.

48'

Kent delivers the resulting set-piece but it's cleared at the near post, and now Celtic can break. Edouard spreads the play to Sinclair on the left, but the winger is an offside position

47'

Halliday wins Rangers their first corner, something to encourage the visitors at least.

Celtic lead at the break, thanks to Edouard's fine solo goal. But the talking point is the stupidity of Morelos who was shown a straight red card for throwing an elbow at Brown.

45'+3

Celtic continue to enjoy all of the possession and the fans are in fine voice too. Three points in the bag already? Remember, this victory would take them 13 points clear of second-placed Rangers.

38'

EXCELLENT SAVE! McGregor called into action once more, he has to be at full-stretch to push Tierney's dipping shot from 25 yards around the post.

36'
35'

Can Rangers get back into this game or is it a case now of damage-limitation?

32'

Once again Morelos has let his team mates and manager down. It was the assistant referee who spotted the incident and the Rangers forward can have no complaints with the decision. The visitors have an absolute mountain to climb now.

25'

McCrorie mops up again, heading clear Hayes' dangerous corner delivery.

24'

Rangers goalkeeper McGregor thinks about coming as a ball is played down the left channel. He doesn't and Edouard gains control. The Celtic forward cuts it back into the centre but McCrorie reacts first and clears behind for another Celtic corner.

22'

LAST-DITCH TACKLE! Goldson times his challenge on Edouard to perfection. It was an important intervention, as the lively Celtic forward was through on goal.

21'

Celtic come again, forcing another corner. Hayes gets good pace on his delivery but it evades everyone and goes out for a goal-kick.

18'

Edouard has looked sharp outside the box. He skips away from a couple of challenges and he drives forward before switching the ball to McGregor on the left channel. His cross is straight into the arms of his namesake in the Rangers goal, however.

16'

SAVE! A much more comfortable stop for McGregor this time. Forrest shifts down the right and feeds it to Ntcham on the edge of the box. He scuffs his shot, however, and it's straight down the middle for Rangers' shot-stopper.

14'

Rangers have recovered well after a slow start and Gerrard's side are enjoying some possession now. Their high-press has made Celtic look a little nervous in defence.

11'

Kent pounces on a loose ball in midfield and leads the Rangers counter-attack with frightening pace, however, he tries to find Morelos on the left but under-plays the pass and Celtic have possession back.

9'

Ajer brings the ball out of defence before playing a lovely ball into the feet of Edouard and he wins a foul. Celtic play their free-kick short and it comes to nothing.

7'

Play resumes with Rangers taking their free-kick. Halliday pumps one into the box and Worrall can only flick it on for a goal-kick.

5'

Ajer has drawn blood after a collision with Worrall contesting a corner delivery. There is going to be a brief stoppage here. Rangers will be pleased to catch a breather, Celtic's pressure in the opening minutes has been relentless.

3'

HUGE REACTION SAVE! McGregor the hero for Rangers. Tierney's cross from the left falls to Ntcham whose first-time volley from point-blank blange is pushed clear by a brilliant reaction save.

2'

A ball over the top releases Morelos but the flying Rangers forward is flagged offside.

KICK-OFF!

Here we go, it's Celtic versus Rangers in the third Old Firm derby clash of the season - and the most important.

11:55

FIVE MINUTE WARNING

A reminder of the starting line-ups as we approach kick-off...

Celtic XI: Bain, Lustig, Boyata, Ajer, Tierney, Brown, Ntcham, McGregor, Forrest, Hayes, Edouard.

Rangers XI: McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, McCrorie, Worrall, Arfield, Jack, Halliday, Candeias, Morelos, Kent.

11:50

Due to an ongoing row over tickets between the clubs, Rangers have brought just 800 away supporters this afternoon.

11:45

Rangers haven't won at Celtic Park since October 2010, but Gerrard masterminded a 1-0 victory the last time the clubs met, on December 29 at Ibrox.

An away win would make Gerrard the first Rangers manager to win back-to-back derbies in the top flight since Walter Smith in 2009.

11:40

Gerrard was talking money in the pre-match press conference. Asked how he could close the gap between Rangers and their greatest rivals, the Englishman said: "We are going to need support, financial support.

"We've built a decent base since we came in here in terms of the changes and what we've tried to do.

"But the reality is, when you've built your cake, you need a lovely icing on it and a bit of decoration on it that will hopefully make a difference."

Derby defeat could kill off Steven Gerrard's Rangers
11:35

Lennon has admitted that a victory for Celtic today could prove crucial in their quest for an eighth consecutive league title.

"It would be a hammer blow [to Rangers] but again, not insurmountable," he said.

"Again, we are talking hypothetically. The objective is to win the game whenever we play our nearest rivals so that is not going to change and the mindset will be 'we are at home and take the game to Rangers at every opportunity'.

Neil Lennon has left Hibernian by 'mutual consent'
11:30

Meanwhile, Steven Gerrard names the same XI that recorded a 1-0 victory over Celtic in December's derby.

That means Ryan Jack and Scott Arfield are back from injury while Joe Worrall and Ross McCrorie are also recalled.

11:25

Neil Lennon has made three changes to the side that won at Dundee before the international break, with Dedryck Boyata, Olivier Ntcham and Jonny Hayes coming into the starting XI. Jeremy Toljan, Michael Johntson and Scott Sinclair drop out.

The biggest talking point is the inclusion of Kieran Tierney who has recovered after injury ruled him out of Scotland's double-header.

11:20
