Arsenal are considering a move for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, who is also wanted by Chelsea and Manchester United. It's Friday's Papers.

Arsenal keen on Morata

On the back page of The Sun it is reported that Arsenal have turned their attention to Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata. The forward has been linked with moves to Chelsea and Manchester United as well, with the former reported to be his preferred option, but the Blues could move for Romelu Lukaku instead. The report says that the Gunners tried to sign Morata but he chose to move to Juventus, with Arsenal instead moving for Alexis Sanchez.

Paper Round's view: It certainly seems as if Morata is going to have his pick of clubs in the summer but would he move to Arsenal without Champions League football? It seems unlikely. But then again Arsenal still have a great chance to make it despite everything that has gone on this season...

Conte tells Chelsea to pay up

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has refused to discuss his future until the Premier League title is secure, but at the same time he has admitted that he feels a person's wage is reflective of their value, despite the money not being important. This report from The Telegraph also adds that Conte is underpaid compared to some of his Premier League rivals, who he has comprehensively beaten in the title race.

Paper Round's view: This is a rather strange set of quotes from Conte. On one hand he's clearly reiterating his commitment to Chelsea, saying that money isn't important for him. Yet on the other he's insinuating that a new deal could be discussed and that a wage rise would reflect his value. Until Inter Milan appoint a different manager we probably can't close the book on it just yet...

Koeman puts pressure on Spurs target Barkley

More quotes from Everton boss Ronald Koeman have been published and, once again, they surround Ross Barkley. Having previously said that Barkley would be sold if he didn't sign a new deal the Everton manager has now told Barkley and his representatives that they need to let Everton know by the end of next week. Spurs remain interested according to The Telegraph's report.

Paper Round's view: Koeman's stance in this is admirable but losing Barkley could be a big blow given his home-grown status and evident talent. However it would be fair to say that Barkley hasn't developed quite as expected while fellow young England hopeful Tom Davies is showing a lot of promise.

Leicester chasing Sigurdsson, Gibson and Kara

Leicester City manager Craig Shakespeare is expected to be given a job on a permanent basis, with the 53-year-old admitting the club could break their transfer record again in the summer. According to a report from The Telegraph the Foxes are considering moves for Gylfi Sigurdsson, Ben Gibson and Kara Mbodji.

Paper Round's view: Previous reports have suggested that Leicester could sell a number of their star players but as long as they can replace them, with players that Shakespeare wants, they should be fine. But another shot at the Premier League title? We'll give you odds of 5000-1...
