Heavy touch from Reina! Aguero closes him down but the keeper just about manages to get the ball away!
Suarez's low cross is cleared as far as Gerrard, who sees his shot blocked this time! And City try to come away on the break with Aguero again... this is breathless stuff.
So that Maicon-for-Silva move - genius!
Liverpool back on the attack - don't rule out more goals here. Actually, maybe do. Agger launches a 35-yarder into orbit.
Poor old Stevie G. Those headlines were going to look so good...
That was an astonishing goal from Aguero - but what on earth was Reina doing? Madness.
GOAL! Manchester City are level! A bizarre, brilliant goal! Brry plays it towards the right sie of the box for Aguero, and Reina comes out to try to tackle! Aguero gets past Reina, and from a tght, tight angle finds the empty net - wonderful finish!
SKRTEL!! Gerrard deliver an inswinging free-kick, Sturridge gets a flick on and Skrtel cannot quite finish at the far post!
And Martin Skrtel is coming on for Liverpool - he'll replace Jose Enrique.
And here's the sort of change that makes Manchester City fans eat their faces in frustration - Maicon comes on for... David Silva!
Ah, that's what I remember. It's been a while since Steven Gerrard did that. Brilliant goal.
GOAL! Steven Gerrard with a scorcher for Liverpool! He chests down a clearance, lets it bounce once and fires it into the left corner from 25 yards! Stunning,
Now Maicon is getting ready for City. You'd think he'd be most likely to take a right wing-back position, which would mean the end of Milner.
Good defending by Milner, who helpls deal with a high ball over the top for Sturridge. Doesn't get much praise, but James Milner is a pretty useful player to have around.
City work the ball into the Liverpool half before playing it backwards, eliciting a few frustrated groans.
Superb cross from Zabaleta, met by an equally good defensive header from Agger.
Henderson is forward and has Suarez in support... but he ignores the Uruguayan and plays the ball wide to the right. It's surely not the right decision.

City are starting to improve, but here comes Downing on the break - Garcia cannot take the ball off him, but he slows the winger down enough to let City get back.
Don't want to make too much of this, but did Suarez appear to shake off Javi Garcia with the aid of an elbow to the guts? We'll see. Certainly no major harm done.

Boisterous challenge by Carragher on Aguero - takes a bit of the ball, but does go going in from behind. Yellow card.

Played back into the box where Downing leaps and glances a header wide.
Gerrard swings in a corner from the left that Hart punches clear.

It takes an age for referee Taylor to sort the wall out - Suarez hits it, and the ball ricochets wide off the wall. Corner.

Half-time, and it's all square but Liverpool will be much the happier team. Back in a few minutes.

A couple of mentions of Philippe Coutinho - he has not yet received a visa, so is not involved today. He hasn't played a competitive game since December 15 so he will probably be eased in slowly.
