Uruguay are off for their summer break after this game, they are next in action against Argentina in August. They will be hoping to have a fully fit strike force in time for that crunch game.

Italy have two more games after this before they can go on their summer holidays, Liechtenstein on Sunday followed by a clash with Spain.
A fine sweeping move ends with Candreva nearly playing the ball through for Eder. The impressive Spinazzola then pings in another cross which Uruguay hack away.
Ventura's side are passing the ball around with ease, they look full of confidence given their run of form since he replaced Antonio Conte.
Italy started brightly with Montolivo's shot blocked behind for a corner after a good run and cross from Spinazzola. The set piece is eventually cleared.

KICK OFF: Italy, in their traditional royal blue shirts, get the second period underway.

HALF TIME: The Azzurri lead 1-0 courtesy of a comical own goal from Gimenez. They have been good value for their lead with Immobile, Belotti and De Rossi having good chances to score. Uruguay have rarely threatened but have defended well on the whole.
CLOSE! Immobile finds Candreva who blazes his effort over from the edge of the box, decent effort.
So far so good for the Azzurri apart from the injury to Juventus midfielder Marchisio.
CLOSE! Immobile controls the ball ten yards out but Vecino blocks his effort. From the corner, De Rossi's corner flies over the bar.

PENALTY APPEAL: Immobile takes a tumble in the box under Coates' challenge but he is shown a yellow for simulation. Belotti is protesting his innocence but his team-mate certainly made the most of the challenge.
Uruguay may consider bringing on Cristhian Stuani in the second period, they have looked light up front.
Belotti goes down after a challenge from Coates, he looks to be okay to continue.
CHANCE! Italy break from Sanchez's corner, Spinazzola lays it off to Insigne who cracks a volley well wide from the edge of the area.
Darmian does well to win the ball back on the edge of the Uruguay box and go on a twisting run before he is tackled, that was some impressive skills from the Manchester United full-back.
Italy have another corner after Coates puts the ball behind. Its swung in from Insigne but Gimnenez deals with the danger this time.
Good move from Tabarez's side, Rolan and Periera trading passes before the cross is blocked for a corner. The corner from Sanchez is cleared.
CLOSE! Insigne with another good ball into the box which the defender misses but Candreva cannot get on the end of it.
We have reached the midway point of the first period and the Italians have had more chances and lead courtesy of Gimenez's own goal.
GOOD DEFENDING: Pereira gets forward again and tries a shot from the edge of the box but its well blocked.
Gonzalez is left clutching his ankle after a rash challenge from Montolivo, he is lucky to escape a booking.

Montilivo is on for the injured Marchisio, that is a blow for the Azzurri with the Liechtenstein game on Sunday.
Marchisio is limping off with the physio, he does not look happy. His game is up.
CHANCE! Following another corner, Belotti looks disappointed himself after firing a low drive wide from the edge of the area, the Torino man had space to pick his spot.
CLOSE! Following a corner, the ball falls to Candreva whose goal-bound drive was blocked.
The South American side are gradually growing into this game bearing in mind the absence of stars like Suarez and Godin.
GOOD EFFORT! Pereira collects the ball 25 yards out and unleashes a curling effort which is inches wide of goal, that was close.
CLOSE! Belotti gets in behind the defence and runs onto a through ball and slides in and gets a shot away which is well blocked by the keeper.

GOAL! A comical own goal from Gimenez! Insigne's long ball is controlled on the chest by Belotti and Gimenez runs in and steers the ball into the top corner with an attempted clearance.
CHANCE! Bonucci with a pinpoint long ball to the right flank for Insigne, who cuts inside and fires in a shot in the area which is straight at the keeper.

Buffon looks on from the substitutes bench at his potential successor Donnarumma. Italy have started the better of the two sides but it has been fairly scrappy.
Bonucci and Barzagli, who started for Juventus in the 4-1 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League final at the weekend, start for the Azzurri.

Italy have yet to release their team but Milan prodigy Donnarumma will start in goal while De Rossi will captain the side in the absence of Buffon. Verratti has left the squad with an adductor injury.
Ventura admitted he wants to improve Italy's record against South American sides. “It’s an important test because Uruguay are a tough side for us, they’re not afraid of anybody. Therefore, I don’t think the discussion is of an ordinary friendly. There’s a will among the boys to play these games and to develop together. While they’ll deserve their holidays, they will all be focused."
Uruguay will want to bounce back from Sunday's 3-1 defeat to the Republic of Ireland. They will be without injured duo Edinson Cavani and Luis Suarez though.
Giampiero Ventura's side will be using this game to prepare for Sunday's World Cup qualifier against Lichtenstein at home. And the Azzurri are in good form having won all their qualifying games except for the draw with Spain.
