FT: Belgium 0-2 Italy. The Azzurri deservedly take the three points to move top of Group E. Belgium flattered to deceive for long spells and struggled to deal with the high energy of Italy's wing backs.
GOAL!!!! Italy seal the victory. Belgium are caught on the break. Candreva shows great composure on the right of the area, refusing a shot to clip a cross to the far post for Pelle to thump a volley into the net.
Vertonghen booked. Belgium's hopes slipping away as Italy look to kill time.
Three minutes of added time. Italy almost there.
Origi rises to meet a right-wing cross but completely misses it. The ball pings around the area and won't quite fall for Fellaini who was inches away from being the hero.
Italy doing anything and everything to keep Belgium out.
Italy so close to a big victory here. Belgium are throwing all they have at the Azzurri...
Mertens is sent chasing a ball down the left flank. He hangs a cross up to the far post but there are no red shirts arriving to have a chance on goal.
Both keepers have made some good stops tonight.
Hard to disagree.
Immobile cracks a right-foot drive towards the top corner but sees his effort clawed away by Courtois.
Motta booked. The plethora of yellows flashed at the Italians in the past 10-15 minutes shows they are being stretched.
Origi finds space in between the Italian defenders but plants his header from De Bruyne's left-wing centre just over the top.
It's coming the way of Buffon's goal all too frequently for Conte's liking now. The corner tally is racking up.
Pressure building in and around that Italy area...
Time ticking down for Belgium. They've used all of their subs. Can they find a way through this Italian rearguard?

Bonucci booked for halting Origi's surge forward.

Eder booked for dragging back Mertens as Belgium threatened another break. Similar to Chiellini's earlier.

Belgium set to bring on Origi who was firing on all cylinders for Liverpool prior to a late season injury.
Hazard wriggling free of several players but when he eventually tries to unleash the shot he sees it immediately blocked.
An Italian rearguard shining at a major tournament... some things don't change.

Vertonghen manages to dig out a cross from the left byline but it's the Italy shirts who react quickest once more.
Italy half clear another Belgium corner but when it's worked to the right for De Bruyne, the Man City man overcooks his cross from a dangerous position.

It's bubbling away nicely now. Both sides looking to attack. No attempt to shut up shop from this Italy team.
Conte's tactics working a treat so far for Italy.
Candreva with another good run and a low, teasing cross that Eder completely misses with an ambitious back heel flick.

Hazard spins his man with a lovely turn but fires a shot straight down the throat of Buffon.
Bad omen for Belgium?
GREAT SAVE! Courtois makes a top-class block to deny Pelle's header. It was so close to being 2-0 to Italy.
BELGIUM CHANCE! A lightning Belgium counter attack sees Lukaku slam a shot wide of target after being put clear on Buffon by De Bruyne.
Vertonghen makes a last-ditch challenge to block Candreva's cutback after the full back had surged into the Belgium area on the right.

Belgium with a fair bit of the ball in this second period but still lacking the urgency to cause the Italian defence any real concern.

KICK OFF! Belgium restart the match.
HT: Belgium 0-1 Italy. Giaccherini's well-taken goal has given the Italians a deserved interval lead. The Red Devils have flattered to deceive and Italy could be further ahead.

Fellaini nods down into the penalty area but Lukaku can't get enough on it with his improvised flick and Buffon plucks it out of the air.
History against Belgium now?
De Bruyne makes a clever run off the ball to sneak into the area but sees his attempt well blocked.

Giaccherini sent out on loan from Sunderland last season but the toast of Italy right now.
BIG MISS! A short corner catches Belgium cold. Fellaini miscues a clearance high into the air and when it's flicked back into the middle Pelle is left in acres but plants his free header just wide.
Italy with their tails up at present. Does this count as a shock given their pedigree?
Lots of talk about Belgium's defensive issues with Kompany missing and they were caught by a long pass there. It was high quality but still quite straight forward.
Lots of love for that pass from Bonucci. The Giaccherini haters have been silenced now too!
GOAL!!!! Emanuele Giaccherini races onto a raking long pass from Bonucci and coolly fires past Courtois after taking an excellent first touch.
Italy continuing to get into some promising positions down both wings but the ball into the box has been wanting so far.
Pelle with a right-foot curler from 25 yards that never looks like truly troubling Courtois as it flashes past his left-hand post.
Is Parolo playing?
Plenty of Premier League representatives on show tonight.
De Bruyne's low delivery to the middle of the box is poor. His execution not up to his usual standard so far. Italy bring it clear.

Fellaini pips an Italy defender to the ball on the edge of the area and tees up Nainggolan who flashes a 25-yarder a few yards wide under pressure.

At the other end Belgium win a corner but De Bruyne's whipped centre is comfortably moved to safety.
Italy getting some joy down the flanks with their full backs pressing so high. So far the deliveries haven't been up to scratch for the likes of Pelle to attack.

Hair-raising: Fellaini wins a header
Italy deal with the corner and hungrily set about pushing forward once more.
Radja Nainggolan forces a smart save out of Buffon from 30 yards after neat set-up play by Lukaku and Fellaini.
Candreva marauds down the right but his low cross is easily cut out at the near post. A promising situation goes to waste.
Belgium started as favourites but Italy have looked the more vibrant in the early exchanges.
Eder with a high boot on Vermaelen. It leads to a talking to from the referee but no card. Boos from the crowd.

Will it be a busy night for Buffon on what is another record-breaking evening for him?
Belgium are currently ranked second in the world and have lost just once in their last nine matches. Italy were 2012 finalists and were one of the four undefeated sides in qualifying, along with England, Austria and Romania. The Azzurri won seven and drew three. It makes this arguably the match of the group stage.

This is the first international match at the Stade de Lyon. It is a 59,000-capacity venue that opened in January. It will hosts six matches at this competition, including the first semi final.
Belgium have been defeated in five of their last seven matches at the Euros.
The winner of this clash will go top of Group E after Republic of Ireland and Sweden fought out a 1-1 draw earlier.
Belgium have won their last two opening games at the Euros, defeating Yugoslavia in 1984 and Sweden in 2000 (as co-hosts).
DID YOU KNOW? Italy have drawn more games than any other team in European Championship history (15). They have also been involved in the most stalemates (eight).
Italy have reached six European Championships in a row since missing the 1992 competition. The Azzurri have only ever failed to qualify from a group on two occasions - 1996 and 2004.
PREVIOUS: The nations last met in November 2015. Antonio Candreva gave Italy an early lead but Belgium responded through Jan Vertonghen, Kevin de Bruyne and Michy Batshuayi to clinch a 3-1 friendly win.
