It's a rout. And with this handsome victory Real Madrid regain top spot in Group G on a night in which Los Blancos' caretaker manager Santiago Solari further enhanced his reputation. Will this result land him the job permanently?
CROSSBAR! Brilliant strike from Bale, but he's desperately unfortunate to see his effort cannon off the woodwork.
THREE minutes will be added on here.
GOAL UPDATE: Wow, late drama in Turin as Paul Pogba nets a late, late winner for Manchester United.
Real Madrid will regain top spot in Group G, ahead of Roma on goal difference with only two matches to play. Solari's side meet the Italian giants on matchday six, a game which could prove to be a shootout for top spot.
GOAL UPDATE: Manchester United have levelled at Juventus, courtesy of a Juan Mata strike.
To their credit, Plzen are unwilling to give up the fight. They win a corner just now but Real deal with it comfortably.
Real are knocking the ball around slowly, conserving their energy with a trip to Celta Vigo on Sunday waiting ahead of them.
- OffTomáš ChorýViktoria Plzen
- OnJakub ReznícekViktoria Plzen
PLZEN SUB: Chory makes way for Jakub Reznicek.
Here they come again, white shirts swarming forward in large numbers. Isco leads the charge, he has Junior and Bale to his left. He rolls the ball to Junior who takes a heavy touch and the chance is gone.
Casemiro, as solid tonight as ever, wins a defensive header and Real are suddenly on the break. The move collapses, however, as Junior times his run slightly too early.
- OffToni KroosReal Madrid
- OnIscoReal Madrid
REAL SUB: My man of the match, Toni Kroos, is replaced by Isco for the remaining 18 minutes or so.
How many more will Real score? They had taken their foot off the gas for some time, but substitute Junior will be keen to get on the score-sheet now.
They're enjoying themselves now, Real Madrid. If this is Solari's audition for the full-time job then it isn't going badly.
GOAL! Plzen 0-5 Real Madrid
How about that?! Delicious goal by Kroos, but it's made by the promising Junior. The young Brazilian drives forward, eating up a lot of ground and then slips through Kroos. And the German international scoops it nonchalantly over the head of the goalkeeper and into the back of the net.
Back to the action here and Plzen have steadied themselves here. With the exception of a chaotic 20-minute spell in which they conceded four times, the hosts haven't performed too badly.
GOAL ALERT: Cristiano Ronaldo scores against his former club to put Juventus ahead on the night against Manchester United.
- OffKarim BenzemaReal Madrid
- OnVinícius JúniorReal Madrid
REAL SUB: Vinicius Junior will have around half-an-hour to impress here as he takes the place of two-goal hero Benzema.
- OffAles CermakViktoria Plzen
- OnTomáš HoravaViktoria Plzen
PLZEN SUB: Tomas Horava comes on for Cermak.
JUST WIDE! Real are robbed of possession on the edge of their own box. Plzen can't capitalise though, Hrosovsky slices his shot wide when he ought to do better.
- OffSergio RamosReal Madrid
- OnJavi SánchezReal Madrid
REAL MADRID SUB: Javier Sanchez comes on for just his second appearance, as he replaces Ramos who leaves to a loud chorus of jeers from the home supporters, presumably for his elbow on Havel in the first-half.
Real look like scoring from absolutely every set-piece. If you can't do the basics, you won't win games - Plzen need to learn how to defend.
OFF THE CROSSBAR! Nacho hit his own woodwork earlier in the game, and now he strikes it once more, this time at the right end. Kroos delivers the free-kick, Ramos heads it on, it falls kindly for Nacho who slots it straight at the bar from close range.
- Yellow cardNachoReal Madrid
YELLOW CARD! Nacho thinks Real should have a corner and complains to the referee when the decision doesn't go his way. The referee isn't having it, and produces a yellow card - the first booking of the night.
GOOD EFFORT! Plzen launch a rapid counter-attack and the ball finds its way to Kopic. He lets fly from distance, but he catches it really sweetly, and forces Courtois into his first meaningful save of the night, as he tips the stinging shot over the bar.
SHOT! Real start the second-period full of confidence, and worry-free, as you would expect. Vazquez opens up the space for a shot from 25 yards, but his rather ambitious effort spins away from goal.
- 2nd Half
The second-half is underway, and this is only a damage-limitation exercise for Plzen now.
- End of 1st Half
Viktoria Plzen 0-4 Real Madrid
Well, would you look at the score-line. Believe it or not, the hosts actually started really brightly, striking the woodwork, but then Real got into their groove. It's game over already.
There will be three unnecessary minutes added on at the end of this cruel first-half. This is men-vs-boys.
Make that 201 goals*.
The end-result could be anything Real want it to be. Rumours before the match suggested that if Madrid could deliver a handsome victory then the job will be Solari's.
- GoalGareth BaleReal Madrid
GOAL! Plzen 0-4 Real Madrid
BALE! He needed that, but this is becoming embarrassing for the hosts. It's another simple goal: Ceballos whips in a cross, it skims off Benzema's head and lands at the feet of Bale who volleys it past the helpless goalkeeper from an acute angle.
- OffMilan HavelViktoria Plzen
- OnMilan PetrželaViktoria Plzen
VIKTORIA PLZEN SUB: Milan Petrzela replaces Havel who cannot continue after suffering that horrific elbow from Ramos earlier.
- GoalKarim BenzemaReal Madrid
GOAL! Plzen 0-3 Real Madrid
School-boy defending. Another set-piece, another Real Madrid goal. The visitors take a short corner to Ceballos who floats in a cross to the back post. Bale rises highest, flicking it onto Benzema who is left totally unmarked to nod it home.
Ten minutes in the first-half to go and the score-line rather flatters Real. Plzen have looked threatening on the counter-attack and a home goal before the break could change things.
Kopic's whipped cross is set up perfectly for Chory but he makes a mess of it.
That was really sloppy from Real, but it kind of sums up their performance so far. Their defence was all over the place in the opening minutes, they lead through a moment of brilliance from Benzema and a straight-forward header by Casemiro, but at the back they have been poor.
WHAT IS GOING ON? Hruska launches a long ball from his goal and the Real Madrid defenders are caught sleeping! Casemiro looks to be tying his laces, Nacho has completely switched off, and Havel is played through on the right. However, he takes a heavy touch which takes him wider and Real get the defenders back to recover the situation.
WHAT A TACKLE! The ball is threaded through for Benzema who only has the goalkeeper to beat... but Hejda races back to make a crucial sliding block. That was old-school defending!
Goals change games. Real look like a side transformed now. They could easily have been down early on, but Benzema's opener has changed everything.
Benzema is proving too hot to handle. He drives down the right and drills a teasing low ball across the face of goal, but Hruska is off his line quickly ahead of Kroos who would have been left with a tap-in.
- GoalCasemiroReal Madrid
GOAL! Viktoria Plzen 0-2 Real Madrid
And there is number two! It's terrible marking from a corner by the hosts, Casemiro is left unmarked and he has the simple task of heading Kroos' whipped delivery past the goalkeeper.
- GoalKarim BenzemaReal Madrid
GOAL! Viktoria Plzen 0-1 Real Madrid
BENZEMA! They have been under the cost of large periods of the game, but Madrid take the lead! And it's a lovely solo effort by the Frenchman. He receives a forward pass from Kroos, and with beautiful close control he slaloms his way past a couple of defenders before sticking the ball between the goalkeeper's legs.
Goal 200 for Benzema at Real Madrid.
GOOD SAVE! Real Madrid win a free-kick on the left-flank. It's delivered by Kroos to the near post where he finds Bale. It's a difficult header but the Welshman uses all the muscles in his neck to guide it goalwards, forcing Hruska into a clever stop.
Over 15 minutes gone and it is clear that Real Madrid aren't comfortable playing in Solero's 4-4-2 formation. They have yet to get going and are fortunate not to be behind.
It seems Havel is OK to continue, so perhaps the foul looked worse than it actually was.
Ramos wasn't cautioned for the incident which suggests the referee didn't spot the foul or didn't feel it was deliberate.
OUCH! This is nasty. Ramos catches Havel with an elbow to the nose, and with some force too. Could be broken.
OVER! Plzen need to score while they are on top and they create yet another opening. Procjazka finds space on the edge of the box, he opens his body up and curls his effort over the top of Courtois' bar.
NO PENALTY! Chory latches onto a cross but goes down under pressure from Casemiro, prompting strong appeals for a spot-kick from the hosts. Difficult to tell in real time what has happened, the replays, however, show there was minimal contact.
OFF THE CROSSBAR! Real Madrid's defence is all over the place! Plzen are extremely unfortunate not to be ahead. Hrosovsky is played through on the left and he has all the time in the world to pick his cross. He fires it across the face of goal, it hits Nacho, could go anywhere, but cannons off the woodwork and bounces to safety.
SHOT! Benzema tests Hruska, Plzen's goalkeeper, for the first time this evening with a nicely-struck volley. Wouldn't have counted, though, as the French international was in an offside position.
It certainly hasn't been a settled start by the visitors; Plzen are finding space down the right flank and that may be an area of concern for Solari.
It is quite a surprise to see Modric on the bench this evening. The Croatian will likely be called upon at some stage in the second-half if the game isn't going Madrid's way.
