That goal came 21 or 22 seconds after Germain came on. On the pitch, Aubameyang fires in a shot from just inside the box, makng Subisic dive shartly to his right to palm it away. At the other end, Sokritis, slides in at the last on Silva as he seemed set for a one-on-one wth Burki.

9'

Reus's cross is kept in play by Durm, but eventually Subisic clais the ball. A moment earlier he almost lost the ball as Aubameyang closed in on him.

8'

This is a point we shouldn't forget tonight, especially as news moves on for observers far quicker than it does for participants.

6'

Dortmund need three goals. All Monaco need to do is sit back, but Mendy finds Falcao with a cross, but Dortmund scramble it away.

Dortmund appear to be revolutionising football with three at the back. At the very least, Weigl is deep on the pitch.

  • 1st Half
1'

The game gets underway, as is tradition, with the first minute.

19:45

Marc Bartra is at the game tonight, which should kick off any second now.

19:40

Dortmund have plenty of attacking talent on the pitch, so they stand a chance, still. Dembele might be on the bench, but with him, Kagawa, Reus, Sahin and Aubameyang, they pose a threat.

19:35

Send your predictions for the game to @Eurosport_UK, and I'll try to include them - and any other comments you send throughout the match - in the coverage.

19:25

The kick-off for the match has been delayed by five minutes due to traffic holding up Dortmund's team bus.

19:20

Monaco are dangerous. They have a rejuvenated Radamel Falcao, who finally appears to have settled after some awful knee injuries, and they have Kylian Mbappe, the man set for a £100m move to one of Europe's biggest clubs.

19:15

Unsurprisingly, Dortmund struggled in the early part of the last match, though they battled back, and they have a 3-2 deficit to overcome tonight. They will need goals, and plenty of them. That won't be easy.

19:10

The tie will still be understandably overshadowed by the attack on the Dortmund team in the last leg, last week. Dortmund coped incredibly well, despite having to play, and we can be glad that the worst that happened was Marc Bartra's injury, as bad as that is for him. The sense is of relief and solidarity, which is far better than grief.
