Oestberg holds Davos close to her heart after triumphing again
Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg declared Davos her favourite place to compete as she recorded yet another victory in the Swiss resort.
The Norwegian dominated the ladies 10km competition on Sunday, finishing nearly six seconds clear of her nearest rivals.
It was her third victory at the resort and also the first of the season for the 27-year-old.
She crossed the line in 25:28.5 minutes, with teammate Ragnhild Haga coming in second for her third straight World Cup distance podium finish.
Finland's Krista Parmakoski was third, 7.9 seconds back while Heidi Weng ensured it was three Norwegians in the top four.
Pre-race favourites Charlotte Kalla of Sweden and Norway's Marit Bjoergen finished eighth and ninth respectively, more than 30 seconds off the pace of Oestberg.
"It feels amazing to win," said Oestberg. "Davos is my favourite place, it's almost the only venue I can win a World Cup. This is what I have been training for the whole year."
The result moves Oestberg up to fourth in the World Cup distance standings on 207 points, 41 behind leader Kalla on 248, with the latter also leading the overall standings from the Norwegian.
