Swiss progress in Fed Cup
Switzerland earned a place in the Europe/Africa Fed Cup Group I semi-finals with a 2-1 group victory over Caroline Wozniacki's Denmark.
The world number one claimed victory in her singles match against Patty Schnyder, but Danish team-mate Karen Barbat's 6-0 6-1 drubbing at the hands of Timea Bacsinszky saw the rubber rest on a deciding doubles match.
Wozniacki teamed up with 18-year-old Mai Grage, but the duo failed to overcome Schnyder and Bacsinszky, leaving Denmark needing a victory against Great Britain on Friday if they're to qualify for the semi-finals.
The Netherlands also qualified for the semi-finals with a 3-0 drubbing of Hungary, the winners of which will seal passage to the World Group II play-offs in April.
