Swail continues on winning trail

Joe Swail marched on at the UK Players Tour Championship event two with a second round whitewash win over Dessie Sheehan in Gloucester.

Swail, the one-time world number 10, dispatched Sheehan 4-0 to set up a meeting with Rod Lawler on Saturday at the South West Snooker Academy.

Reanne Evans also went through to the next round with a 4-3 win over Darrell Whitworth.

The top-ranked players in the world enter the fray on Friday, with the likes of Mark Selby, Mark Williams and Shaun Murphy taking their bow.
