ImagoWeidman took fellow Amercian Munoz to ground early in the fight and controlled the first round from there.
In the second Munoz, known as the 'Filipino Wrecking Machine', looked to attack in the stand-up but received an elbow to the face.
He fell and Weidman was immediately on top of him to land a flurry of blows and force a stoppage.
Weidman will now eye a potential meeting with UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva.
