Rangers are boosted by the news that Madjid Bougherra could return for their Clydesdale Bank Premier League game against St Mirren.

The defender - who has been out with a hamstring injury - trained on Friday and, if not involved on Saturday, will have a part to play against Dundee United on Tuesday.

Steven Naismith is suspended for the visit of Saints but Richard Foster is back in the squad after sitting out the midweek win at Aberdeen under the terms of his loan agreement.

Michael Higdon and Hugh Murray are suspended for St Mirren.

In-form striker Higdon begins a two-match ban while midfielder Murray is out for one game, but on-loan Celtic player Paul McGowan returns after being ineligible for the narrow defeat at Parkhead.

Motherwell manager Stuart McCall hopes to have a full squad to choose from for the Scottish Cup semi-final against St Johnstone.

Gavin Gunning has recovered from a shoulder injury while Francis Jeffers should shake off a hamstring problem.

Steve Jennings returns from suspension while the likes of Keith Lasley and John Sutton are expected to come back into the starting line-up after being rested for the draw at Hearts.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle v Hearts

Inverness have no fresh injury worries for the Clydesdale Bank Premier League clash against Hearts.

Kenny Gillet returned from a lengthy absence with a knee problem to start against Kilmarnock and could continue.

David Proctor (hamstring) and Dani Sanchez (hand) remain on the sidelines but Graeme Shinnie could return to training soon and may feature in the final match of the season after a long-term stomach problem.

Hearts manager Jim Jefferies must decide whether to recall captain Marius Zaliukas for the trip to Inverness.

Zaliukas was suspended for last Saturday's draw with Motherwell and will again be banned for next week's match against the Steelmen after his dismissal against Hibernian but is available to face Caley Thistle.

Marian Kello (back), Rudi Skacel (Achilles), Suso Santana (knee), Eggert Jonsson (facial injury) and Darren Barr (hernia) have all been carrying injuries of late and could be doubtful while Lee Wallace (ankle), Kevin Kyle (hip) and Calum Elliot (knee) remain out.

Hibernian v Hamilton Academical (Sunday)

Hibernian midfielder Matt Thornhill has been ruled out for the remainder of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League season with a knee injury.

Thornhill suffered a medial ligament injury in last weekend's SPL win at Aberdeen and will miss the final six matches of the campaign, starting with the home game against bottom side Hamilton.

Hibs have no further fresh concerns, with Danny Galbraith (ankle) nearing a return and Kevin McCann (knee) and Graham Stack (shoulder) still out.

David Elebert is a doubt for Hamilton.

Elebert was forced out of last weekend's defeat against Rangers with a hamstring injury and has not trained this week.

Manager Billy Reid has one or two other unnamed players carrying knocks, while Mark McLaughlin and Martin Canning are both sidelined.
