There's the final whistle, and Tottenham have beaten West Brom in a game decided by Goran Popov's red card for spitting towards Kyle Walker.
Really good yet again from Lloris - he rises high to make a good claim.
Dawson jumps over the top of Fortune for a header, and this free-kick could give WBA one last chance - and Foster is up.
Play is back under way - 90 seconds, plus probably an extra minute for the Bale stoppage.
It was a double challenge from Brunt and Reid, and it looks like the latter has caused the damage - Bale down holding his mouth.
Bale is brought down by a hefty challenge - referee Clattenburg says play on, but Spurs actaully keep possession... and the ball is put out with Bale still down.
Well, it's Spurs on the attack, and they take their time over a throw on the right, deep inside WBA territory.
We will have four minutes of stoppage time - can West Brom conjure an unlikely equiliser?
Now there's a chance aBrint delivers a free-kick into the box - it is headed high in the air, prompting a massive tussle between Olsson and Dawson. Lloris catches, but in the meantime a free-kick has been given against Olsson.
WBA still able to make no inroads at all. Frustration.
Lennon weaves into the box from the left, beats two men and has his shot blocked.
A long, long spell of possession for Tottenham here. So frustrating for Albion, who are exhorted to apply pressure by their bench.
WBA change: On come Marc-Antoine Fortune and Markus Rosenberg. Dorrans and Yacob come off.
Long threatens again with a left-foot shot from the edge of the box that is straight at Lloris - but he did well to run onto it and get his shot away quickly. Nice pass by Brunt.
Reports that Jonas Olsson flicked Vs at fans who gave him stick for a misplaced pass. Not too clever.
Long runs up against Dawson as he chases a through ball - Dawson stays strong and holds off the Irishman. But a glimmer of hope for Albion.
Dempsey hits a left-foot shot towards the near post from the left side - it is probably going wide, but Foster takes no chances and helps it behind.
Gareth Bale has nine away Premier League goals this season, two short of the Tottenham record of 11 set by Teddy Sheringham in 1994/95.
Tottenham are preparing William Gallas to come off the bench...
It's just looking far too easy for Tottenham right now. West Brom cannot get hold of the ball, and when they do they cannot keep it.
Tottenham claim for a backpass when a sliding challenge ends up back with Foster, but it's wishful thinking. No way Clattenburg can give that.
The atmosphere has deflated out of The Hawthorns following that goal. WBA have not come even close to scoring since Popov's dismissal.
Bale's at it again, twisting and turning inside the WBA box but he can only find the side netting this time.
WBA wanted an offside against lewis Holtby in the build-up to that goal. He looked just about level.
Well, now Albion are up against it. Brilliant goal from Bale, his 11th in the Premier League this season. Absolutely no chance Foster,
GOAL! Gareth Bale smashes the ball past Foster from 20 yards! He beats Morrison and works a yard of space, before sending an absolute missile into the left corner!
A rare Albion attack breaks down when Morrison passes out for a throw due to a miscommunication.
Dempsey cracks a low shot from the edge of the box... it bounces into the arms of Foster.
Vertonghen hits a long-range blast that takes a touch off a defender and flashes wide for a corner.
Foster hoofs a high, long ball which Long chases... that's a bit of a lost cause, really. He's surrounded by defenders and completely on his own.
Foster is out quickly again to charge down Bale as he beats McAuley to a through ball... Bale inititally stays down, but quickly gets back to his feet.
Assou-Ekotto crosses from the left towards Holtby whose shot is charged down at point blank range by Foster!
Walker is booed by the home fans for his involvement in the Popov red. To be expected, I suppose, but he didn't do a lot...
I think the pattern for the rest of this match is set - Tottenham pouring forwards, West Brom in self-preservation mode.
Tottenham corner on the left... headed out as far as Assou-Ekotto who takes it on the volley 30 yards out... high over the bar!
HOLTBY!! He whacks a left-foot shot from the edge of the box and Foster makes a sharp save at his near post. Powerful strike.
Lukaku didn't look too happy, but Steve Clarke had no choice but to sacrifice a striker.
Here's the change they had to make - Liam Ridgewell comes on for Lukaku. The new man will go straight in at left-back.
WBA's initial response is to drop players back, understandably enough. Brunt at left-back for the moment.
The replay shows Popove sort of semi-spat at Walker - it wasn't a full-on gobbing, but there was spray.
RED CARD!! Goran Popov is off! What has happened there? Did he spit at Kyle Walker?
Holtby attempts a through ball to... nobody at all.
Second half under way! West Bromwich Albion kick off. No further personnel changes for either side.
That's half-time, no goals. A pleasant enough game, but the big talking point is that injury to Tottenham's only recognised striker.
Bale! He smacks a powerful dippingh shot - it's going in, but the ball is right above Foster's head and he tips it over without too much hassle.
Yet another through ball for Lukaku, this time from Brunt... good defending from his countryman Vertonghen to win it and play the ball back to Lloris.
Three minutes of stoppage time will be played. Lukaku sprints through again but this time he's offside. Tottenham's high line holding up just about OK.
'You should have bought a striker' is the chant from the Spurs fans to AVB.
Opta say Jermain Defoe managed a full nine touches before going off injured.
That injury will presumably put Jermain Defoe out of England v Brazil...
Another pacy break from West Brom as Lukaku chases on to a direct ball down the left channel... cannot test Lloris.
Dorrans robs Bale and sets Lukaku away on the break... he is double-teamed and wrestled off the ball.
Looks like it's Dempsey playing up front now, with Holtby in behind.
Lewis Holtby is the man to replace Jermain Defoe, and it will be interesting to see where he plays.
Bad news for Tottenham - Jermain Defoe has taken a knock on the ankle and will not be able to continue. Maybe they should have signed a striker...
And one on West Bromwich: 'West Brom have scored six PL goals in 2013. Only one of these goals came in the first half – Romelu Lukaku’s 0-1 at Reading on January 12 (3-2 West Brom loss).'
Interesting fact from Infostrada: 'Only one of Tottenham’s last 16 PL goals was scored before half time – Michael Dawson’s 1-1 against Reading on New Year’s Day (3-1 Spurs win).'
Played to the feet of Defoe inside the box - the Albion defenders being very tentative with their challenges and understandably so...
Bale shoots from the free-kick but booms it into the crowd.
Yacob fouls Defoe just a yard outside the WBA box, and this is a really dangerous opportunity for Spurs from the free-kick.
Yacob leaves the foot in on Vertonghen who yelps as he goes down, but doesn't actually milk it. The WBA man is perhaps lucky to escape a booking. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why players pretend to be injured. I guarantee that if he's stayed down it would have been yellow.
England manager Roy Hodgson is in the crowd today - he knows the Hawthorns well, of course, from his time as Albion manager.
Corner from the Tottenham right... caught easily by Foster.
Dempsey drills a low shot wide. He appeals for a corner but ref Mark Clattenburg says the ball did not take a touch.
Away come Tottenham on the break, and again it's Bale... he burns past Popov, who is having a bit of a torrid time, and stands up an cross that nobody can meet.
Great work again from Lloris at the corner - he comes well out of his goal to punch one-handed. These foreign keepers, eh?
Dembele lets the ball run out for a goal kick... but the ball obviously takes a touch off him as the linesman signals for a corner.
Dorrans has looked very lively early on. The Scottish international having a much greater impact this season than last.
Walker scrambles a ball away for a throw on the WBA left... Spurs under some pressure.
Long! Hits a shot from a tight angle on the left... good save from Lloris, who came out and made himself an imposing presence. Great ball from Dorrans to set him up.
Dembele tries his luck from 25 yards, but slashes the ball high and wide.
The game has slowed down a little bit after the flowing start.
From Infostrada: 'West Brom start with only one player from England – goalkeeper Ben Foster. West Brom are the only PL club yet to have an English goalscorer this season. The last PL club to go a whole season without a single English scorer was Fulham in 2005-06.'
Defoe chases a through ball... Foster races out to whack the ball away! Good, alert goalkeeping from the West Bromwich man.
Outswinging corner from the Tottenham right... and it's Lukaku who makes the defensive header.
Assou Ekotto crosses from the left, headed away by Olsson.
Amusing from @stevefreeth: "No Odemwingie ruins the chance of a possible 'Dempsey & Makepeace' headline"
Dembele tries to thread a through ball to Dempsey in the box - just too much pace on the pass.
Popov looks down the left channel for Lukaku who attempts to overpower Kyle Walker physically. He does so, but concedes a free-kick in the process.
It has been a good start from the home team here - bold, enterprising stuff.
Aaron Lennon skins Popov and stands up a cross to the back post, where Dempsey heads the ball into the ground and it bounces wide.
Lukaku! Has a yard of space on the left side, 20 yards out, and he drills a low shot that Lloris holds.
Brunt delivers a corner from the WBA right... met by an excellent punch from Lloris who clears well away.
West Brom back in possession with Dorrans, who has started on the right. Chris Brunt on the left, with Morrison and Yacob in the middle.
Tottenham win the game's first corner on the left side... Walker swings it in but hits it too deep, over the head of Dempsey at the far post.
Great early chance for West Brom! Lukaku flicks the ball on superbly for Long whose first touch is not great, and his second - trying to take the ball past Lloris - runs the ball out for a goal kick. Long's control let him down there...
West Brom are indeed playing a proper 4-4-2 with two strikers. There's a risk they could get outmatched in midfield by Spurs... but nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Game on! Tottenham kick off, playing from right to left as we look at it. The kicks actually clash a little bit on TV. We'll survive...
Peter Odemwingie tweets! "I bet Lukaku is over motivated today ! Good luck to the boys." What a guy...
Out come the teams on an overcast early afternoon in the Black Country. West Brom in their navy and white stripes - Tottenham in black and grey halves. It's a kit that's grown on me, actually.
A quick look at the table - West Brom could do with a win, and three points today would lift them from seventh to ninth (before Liverpool's game at Man City). Tottenham will not move from fourth unless they lose by three goals - a win moves them to within a point of Chelsea.
Steve Clarke is wearing not so much a five o'clock shadow as a 3am shadow today. You're on TV, man! Have a shave!
Back at The Hawthorns, we are hearing from the Birmingham Mail's excellent WBA man Chris Lepkowski that fans were holding up an 'Odemwingie OUT' banner, which has now disappeared.
And some worrying news regarding Tottenham legend Paul Gascoigne - his agent has said Gascoigne's life is at risk due to his continued drinking.
Blimey, it's all happening in the lower leagues. This morning Oldham have sacked Paul Dickov, while Notts County have just dispensed with the services of Keith Curle.
Gareth Bale has scored 10 Premier League goals in a single season for the first time. Eight of Bale’s 10 goals this season have come in away games.
West Brom have won none of their last six Premier League games against Spurs (W0 D3 L3). The Baggies have won just one of their last five Premier League games at the Hawthorns (W1 D2 L2).
Good afternoon, everyone. My name's Alex Chick and I'll be with you for both Premier League games today. If you want to get in touch on Twitter, feel free - my handle is @alexchick81
So West Brom switch to a 4-4-2 with Shane Long partnering Romelu Lukaku up front - no Peter Odemwingie for reasons that should be colossally apparent. Tottenham are unchanged - a rarity for AVB this season.
WEST BROM: Foster; Reid, McAuley, Olsson, Popov; Dorrans, Yacob, Morrison, Brunt; Long, Lukaku... Subs: Myhill, Ridgewell, Thomas, Jones, Rosenberg, Fortuné, Tamas. // TOTTENHAM: Lloris; Walker, Dawson, Vertonghen, Assou-Ekotto; Dembele, Parker; Lennon, Bale, Dempsey; Defoe... Subs: Friedel, Gallas, Naughton, Huddlestone, Livermore, Sigurdsson, Holtby.
