Young British rider Adam Blythe will join BMC Racing in 2011.

The American squad announced that the 21-year-old from Sheffield and Belgian Klaas Lodewyck, who was active in Sunday's World Championship road race, will join the team of Philippe Gilbert and Cadel Evans next season.

Last year, the Yorkshireman won two stages and the overall at Circuit Franco-Belge and has followed up this season with podium finishes at GP Stad Zottegem, the Ster ZLM Tour and at Ronde van Drenthe.

"The BMC Racing Team wants to make me a better bike rider, which is what I really need at the moment," Blythe said.

"I would like to go for some stages in races like the Eneco Tour next year, but my main goal is to get onto the classics team. I think it will very hard, though."

The team also announced it is extending the contract of Swiss rider Danilo Wyss.
