Victory for Brandsdal in Stockholm

Eirik Brandsdal of Norway scooped victory in the men's sprint classic style race at the cross-country World Cup finals in Stockholm.

Brandsdal covered the 1km sprint in two minutes, 13.6 seconds to hold off home hope Teodor Peterson of Sweden by a second.

Canada's Len Valjas finished third.

Dario Cologna did not get past the quarter-finals, but has already amassed enough points to secure the overall World Cup title for the third time.
