Malaysia beat Thailand 2-0, while Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng won an all-Chinese encounter in the Olympic men's Badminton doubles quarter-finals.

Kien Keat Koo and Boon Heong Tan of Malaysia beat Thailand's Bodin Isara and Maneepong Jongjit 21-16 21-18.

Top seeds Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng saw off compatriots Chai Biao and Guo Zhendong 21-15 21-19 in a last eight fixture which ensured Chinese presence in the semi-finals.

And Jung Jae Sung and Lee Yong-Dae of South Korea defeated Ahsan Mohamad and Bona Septano of Indonesia 21-12 21-16.
